HOLLOW RIVET

HOLLOW RIVET

Hollow rivets are common metal fasteners. They feature a hollow core (either semi-hollow or fully hollow) and are secured by flanging or curling the rivet's back. This structure reduces forming force and damage to the base material, while offering advantages such as lightweight, stable strength, and aesthetic appeal.
The rivet's head can be customized with a flat, round, or decorative design. It is widely used in apparel, footwear, leather goods, and various bags.

We supply high-quality hollow rivets and tubular rivets for bags, footwear, leather goods, and garments. Available in brass, stainless steel, and aluminum with custom plating and finishes.

Materials

  • Brass : Excellent formability; polishes and plates well. Medium strength—good for light to medium loads and decorative use.
  • Stainless Steel (SUS304/316): Best corrosion resistance and strength; preferred for sweat, outdoor, or coastal environments
  • Aluminum / Iron: Lightweight and corrosion-resistant; easy to form, suitable for light loads.

Finishes

  • Electroplating: Nickel, black nickel, imitation gold, tin, black zinc, antique bronze… (Recommend trivalent chromium systems; use low-nickel options for skin-contact parts.)
  • Coatings: E-coat (electrophoretic), spray paint, powder coat (matte/gloss/color).
  • PVD: Ti gold, black titanium, rose gold—high wear resistance and stable color.
  • Stainless base color: Polished, brushed, sandblasted; best salt-spray performance.

Hollow rivets (Tubular Rivets) are widely used in bags, leather goods, garments, footwear, and stationery. They reinforce bag openings, strap ends, pocket corners, and shoe components, while also serving decorative purposes. Ideal for light-duty outdoor and pet accessories, they combine functionality and aesthetic appeal, with various materials and finishes available to suit different environments.

  • Bags/Leather Goods: Mouth-edge reinforcement, strap ends, labels, and decorative studs.
  • Apparel/Denim: Pocket-corner reinforcement; decorative and fastening points on leather jackets/workwear.
  • Footwear: Auxiliary fastening on uppers, pull-tab endpoints, decorative placements (non-primary load).
  • Displays/Paper Goods: Catalogs, cardboard, sample books, and hang tags (split rivets are especially common).
  • Outdoor/Pet: Light-load connection points and decorative studs (use SUS or higher-grade finishes for highly corrosive environments).
